Fan Demand Pushes Aspyr to Consider Full Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy on Switch
Following the recent shadow drop of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, fans have been clamoring for the rest of Lara Croft’s origin story. Aspyr, the developer responsible for the port, has officially responded to the “passionate response,” confirming that the remaining games in the “Survivor” trilogy are now being considered for the platform.
In an interview with Nintendo Everything, Aspyr product manager Jordon Reese acknowledged the overwhelming request to bring Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider to Nintendo consoles. “We have definitely seen this question!” Reese stated. While the team cannot announce anything specific yet, he noted that the strong feedback acts as “encouragement for us to continue exploring those possibilities.”
Committed to Switch 2 Aspyr also reaffirmed its commitment to the new Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. While their immediate focus remains on optimizing the current Definitive Edition, the studio views the Switch 2 as a primary target for future releases. With the classic era (I-VI) and the 2013 reboot now available, the completion of the modern trilogy seems increasingly likely if sales and fan engagement continue to perform well.
