Epic Games Halts Fortnite Return to iOS in Japan Amid Apple Dispute

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has announced that Fortnite will not return to iOS in Japan in 2025. Sweeney accuses Apple of “obstruction and lawbreaking” by imposing high fees on third-party stores and payments, despite new Japanese laws meant to foster competition. Epic plans to report the issue to the Japanese Fair Trade Commission.
